03/03/2019 was great day as far as KGMOA kasaragod branch is concerned as we have arranged a class as preventive measure to create awareness of KFD which is there in and around our district and it may emerge at any time in our district and medical officers in charge of institution should have enough knowledge how to prevent this disease if it occurs and Dr Jithesh Asst director Supt Mandavady dist hospital who is having master degree in public health and who have enough experience in handling KFD situation in Wayanad and a national faculty for awareness of KFD  took the class on public health importance of KFD and the how to handle dead monkeys what to spray how to spray to prevent tick problems and all statistical details in very good simple language and Dr Janardhana naik also a national faculty in clinical subjects dealt clinical aspect of KFD and beautifully explained pathogenesis and other disease aspects in very simple manner with stories of how KFD identified from Shimoga district where earlier these cases they have no clue in diagnosis . Overall it is really a miss to our medical officers who didn’t attend the class . Thanks to DMOH and Dr Manoj and team for supporting the programme. Jai KGMOA.
